Family Benefit in Action

Here are a few stories from BetterLife members on how the Family Benefit helped them!

A Complicated Situation

This meant that she couldn’t work and had to take additional unpaid leave. As a result, medical and child care bills accumulated. Thankfully, as members of BetterLife, Jessica and her family could take advantage of our Family Benefit to help cover some of the out-of-pocket expenses. And now, instead of thinking about bills, they can enjoy watching their baby boy grow up!

A Part of Everyday Life

Unfortunately, this is just a part of everyday life for Andrea “Anne” Barnes and her family, as Anne’s mother struggles with dementia. With the high cost of memory care on top of other expenses, Anne and her husband have quickly watched their debt grow. Fortunately, BetterLife’s Family Benefit can help pay some of those debts, so the Barnes family can worry less about money and focus more on spending time with their mother.

Supporting a Young Boy’s Dream

Patricia and Justin Meyer wanted to do just that and send their son Hunter on a weeklong baseball tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC. Aside from the trip itself, multiple other expenses made this experience quite costly. However, because of BetterLife’s Family Benefit, this young boy’s dream is becoming a reality. Who knows, in ten years, we could see him playing in the big leagues!
